People who work with me can expect to learn how their early experiences shape their responses to situations in the present. Understanding our beliefs about the world can help with personal transformation. Some patterns that we have to undo in our own behaviour can even come from secondhand experiences. This level of self-awareness can create a comfortable space to challenge anxieties and ideas about self-worth.

I work together with clients to create a tailored treatment plan. I’m trained in EMDR therapy, lifespan integration, and the Gottman method for couples (mixing in other approaches).

My practice is gender, body, sexuality and race inclusive. I reside and provide services on the unceded ancestral territories of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ speaking people and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh first nations peoples that was not surrendered.

Alexandra is a friendly, warm, compassionate individual who believes that everyone is deserving of support and a safe space to grow. Through genuine human connection, she views counselling as a collaboration; knowing full well she may never be able to walk inside another’s shoes, she aims to walk alongside clients in their healing journey and their journey toward self- discovery.

In doing so, Alexandra believes in a holistic, strengths-based framework to support those gravitating toward their journey of change and growth. Operating from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens, Alexandra aspires to provide clients with a brave space to navigate their inner and outer worlds through approaches that encompass the mind, body, and soul. She believes that fostering this brave space with clients can be done through empowerment and without judgment, in order to allow clients the opportunity to step out of their realm of comfort and step toward areas of growth.

Alexandra has 7 years of education, training, and practice in the psychology field and is presently completing her Master’s in Counselling degree from City University of Seattle. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology from Simon Fraser University along with a certificate in one of her greatest passions; Social Justice. She looks forward to working empathetically with clients and approaching their worldviews with gentle curiosity.

Outside of the office, Alexandra is a reader of fiction, fantasy, and therapy literature. She also loves living an energized and balanced lifestyle through her fitness aspirations and through connecting with her family, colleagues, and fellow graduate student peers.
